Yes folks the summer has begun, the time of year when everyone is fleeing the city’s concrete jungle for a field or a beach. Or, if you’re feeling so inclined, even an actual jungle, complete with the sounds of tropical birds communicating in the treetops and monkeys copulating enthusiastically. Whatever your destination, here’s something to shove in the old ipod for the road.

Aeroplane have been churning out some of best disco electronica around for the last couple of years, and here are two of their most recent efforts for your listening pleasure. The first is one of the most uptempo and tracks they’ve done, a remix of french electro-pop softie Sebastian Tellier. The next is a stunning and equally dancefloor rocking mix of a track by Nordic disco geniuses Lindstrom and Prins Thomas.

Yes folks the third summer of disco is upon us. Wind down the soft top, or just stick your head out the window, and enjoy.

In Flagranti have been blowing our minds and speakers for many a moon now with their distinctive blend of disco, house and record sleeves with sexy birds on ‘em. The lastest album ‘Brash and Vulgar’ on Codek Records is no exception.

From the first track onwards, the experimental electronic disco brushes shoulders with many of the other things we love the most, from chugging italo through to cosmic krautrock, pounding garage rock freakouts and plenty more.

Give it some motion. At least I think that’s what the sample at the beginning says.

In Flagranti - She bent each leg alternatly

IF played a blistering live set at The Last Days of Disco in May, backed up by a stellar ‘old disco’ dj set and some extreme visual content plastered all over the back of the stage down at Barden’s. A sticky basement in Dalston never had it so good. The boys are playing out all over London in the coming months so try and catch them when and wherever you can. In the meantime here is the 30 min live set for you to keep, treasure, wig out to on warm summer nights:
